The Role:

As a Room Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our distinguished guests enjoy an impeccable and memorable stay, surrounded by the finest accommodations, service, and attention to detail.
You will be entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and luxury in our guest rooms and associated areas. As a Room Attendant, your meticulous care and dedication will contribute directly to the creation of an exceptional guest experience, making The Caledonian Edinburgh a true symbol of Scottish hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Exemplary Guest Room Presentation: Ensure that all guest rooms, suites, and associated areas are maintained to the most luxurious and pristine standards. Your attention to detail will ensure that every corner reflects the elegance and sophistication expected of a world-class hotel.
- Luxury Bed Linen & Guest Amenities: Meticulously change and replenish bed linens, towels, and amenities, ensuring they are presented according to the highest standards, offering guests an experience of comfort and indulgence.
- Deep Cleaning & Upkeep: Undertake deep cleaning tasks and regularly inspect guest rooms and associated areas to ensure all furnishings, fixtures, and appliances are in perfect working condition.
- Efficient Trolley Management: Maintain and restock your cleaning trolley daily, ensuring all necessary supplies are available to perform duties efficiently and without interruption.
- Guest Satisfaction & Requests: Respond to guest inquiries and requests with grace, ensuring that each guest's needs are met promptly and with care, enhancing their stay and ensuring a seamless experience.
- Safety & Security: Uphold the highest safety standards, ensuring a secure environment for both guests and colleagues while adhering to The Caledonian Edinburgh’s security protocols.
- Environmental Stewardship: Adhere to the hotel’s commitment to sustainability by employing eco-friendly cleaning practices, minimizing waste, and respecting the environment in every aspect of your work.
- Lost Property Management: Ensure all lost property is handled according to the hotel’s strict procedures, maintaining a sense of professionalism and trustworthiness.
- Collaboration & Support: Foster strong, cooperative relationships with colleagues across departments, offering assistance as needed to ensure smooth operations and consistent service excellence.
- Guest Privacy & Confidentiality: Always respect the privacy of our guests, maintaining the utmost discretion and professionalism while adhering to all security and confidentiality policies.
Supportive Functions:
In addition to your primary responsibilities, you may be asked to participate in:
- Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to new team members, ensuring they fully understand and embrace our high standards of service and luxury.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality enhancement initiatives, system development projects, and process improvements that contribute to raising the standard of our services and operations.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Assist in public area cleaning, linen services, and other hotel operations when required, maintaining an adaptable and team-oriented approach to your duties.
